Squat racks are a great piece of equipment to help you to perform highly efficient movements, that work multiple muscle groups. You can target your quads, hamstrings, core, and back. Performing squats activates your calves, and glutes and improves core strength. They can also be used for performing barbell exercises in a standing or lying position on a bench for bench press movements. Squat racks have a simple height adjustment and can also be known as power racks. Power racks will have a larger, more complex, and sturdy frame than squat racks, and can also have a fixed top bar for performing a range of exercises including pull-ups and chin-ups.
